Silly season has landed

Posted by Rob Irvine on August 1, 2006 4:22 PM |

Oh dear. August. Silly season. Nowt happening.
It's the time of year when a national newspaper counts the corn flakes in a variety pack and compares the number of cornflakes per penny to the standard size box before declaring a "variety pack rip off".
The North Wales news bunny appears to have packed his bag and cleared off to the Med today. Not quite sure what we'll do on the front page for tomorrow's edition. Still, the night is young.
Picture editor Richard Williams has been up in a light aircraft to get some video of North Wales from the air. We'll be running bits of video on the website over the next few weeks (we'll announce in the paper and here which parts of N.Wales we will be featuring and when).
Thanks for the excellent feedback on the blog - all very positive apart from some miserable gob called Lesley. If you're not interested in what happens inside a newspaper then what the hell are you doing reading a blog about life inside a newspaper?
Constructive criticism about the blog and the Daily Post remains welcome.
